Sys-Con once again attacks Aral Balkan with stupidity and ignorance

Sys-Con Media has again and again tried to spread libel about Aral Balkan because he originally bad-mouthed them on Twitter and in other places, because they stole an article from him and claimed his endorsement of their products and services. Apparently they continue to try and spread rumors about him and recently Turks in general.

And coming to Aral’s defense might not really work, as Sys-Con apparently isn’t web-savvy enough to know how e.g. Twitter works, as they claim that @adobeted‘s update about him wanting the company to die in Sys-Con’s eyes becomes “Aral Balkan’s Twitter post on Adobe Ted’s (Ted Patrick) home page declaring death to SYS-CON Media” even though it is clearly @adobeted, who in this instance has this wish – as well as the rest of the Flash community and also a large part of the internet community in general, as the entire practice of Sys-Con in these matters are stupid, ignorant, enraging, intolerable and straight-out illegal.

Well, I hereby express my deep despise against the practice and entire company of Sys-Con Media and I as well wish the company to die (would that be a Dihad, as I am Danish?) and furthermore extend my best hopes for Aral Balkan and my support for his fight against a well-funded but ill-minded corporation.

Selvom det må være fantastisk trættende for Aral, så er det egentligt “perfekt” at de vælge at angribe en person som Aral, da han ikke just virker/er en person som baaare lige smider et par linier omkring et emne og så lader det være, maybe something good will come out of this ;)

    Feeee blog MB!

Felix: Thanks, yes, Aral is not a person to just roll over and see if he can dodge the bullets – he’ll fight them with everything he’s got. And if we all join together in re-defaming them, maybe someone even more reputable will pick up on it…

Sys-CON have, for years, managed to survive by creaming large amounts of advertising dollars from organisations who advertise in their, frankly, rather dull “developer’s journals” and other publications.

I have first hand experience of dealing with the company in this respect and can say that they are an arrogant organisation on the whole.

Take their blatant theft of web content and claims that (suddenly, without their knowledge) hundreds of well-known industry names were dedicated “authors” for their RSS-scraping web portal was the start of this whole ridiculous mess.

They need to drop their arrogant and unprofessional plagiarism, start writing some apologies using real names and real photos and either try conducting their business in a correct ethical fashion or give up and go home. That would be the correct approach, as opposed to spreading libelous remarks about respected individuals.

They may also want to remove the following line from most of their web sites as it clearly doesn’t reflect their actual policy regarding copyright: “Reproduction in whole or in part in any form or medium without express written permission of SYS-CON Publications, Inc. is prohibited”

There’s too much of this sort of nonsense going on and life is too short to waste with idiots like this – faceless idiots who are not even strong enough to show their real names and faces.
